You may be interested in an edited extract from the Kibkom Forum relating to Citizens Advice Services, should the need arise.
In case you are not aware there is a Citizens Advice Services in North Cyprus. The office is manned by Pembe Ibrihim who is a lovely person and gives very good advice ( Pembe is not a trained solicitor but has worked for solicitors both in North Cyprus and in the UK and she is very knowledgeable about the law ). She will however, recommend a lawyer who will not rip you off and will charge you the same price as a Turkish Cypriot.
The Citizen Advice Services are located in Karakum, by Molly's Cafe. She does not charge as such, but asks if you would like to make a small donation for her time. You can also pay an annual fee for as much advice as you want. I think this is in the region of 100tl, but don't hold me to that.
She is out to show that the Solicitors over here do not work for their clients, and can advise you on the best way to approach things within the legal system.
